Mysterious Girl singer Peter Andre has caught a flight straight back to his homeland in Australia to be with his family, after finding out the horrific news that his older brother Andrew Andre has stomach cancer.
Devastated Peter left his children with mum and ex-wife Katie Price, and went straight to the airport so that he canjoin his family in keeping bedside vigil for his seriously ill brother.
Last night Pete said: "At the moment I'm not sure when I'll be back as I want to stay here for as long as Andrew needs me."
A friend of the star said to The Sun: "Pete has been knocked for six by this. He found out last week that Andrew was ill with cancer and that it was actually really serious.
"He's left the kids with Katie and has told them that he'll hopefully be back next week. His other brother, Michael, has gone out there too. It's a real nightmare for everyone. Pete is so upset and worried for Andrew."
Andrew, who lives with his wife Magda in the Gold Coast area of Australia, will undergo several life-saving operations this week to try to remove the cancer from his stomach. Although doctors have acted quickly by locating the cancer and making plans to operate, stomach cancer is a very life-threatening illness.
Pete had his own serious health scare five years ago, when he suffered a bout of life-threatening meningitis, which he later described as “the single most frightening experience of my life."

This is so sad. I hear that chances of surviving stomach cancer are good, so that is a relief. Even though Pete is annoying and always is using Katie to keep his name in the tabloid this is so sad to hear.
